LIPHOOK CARNIVAL ANNOUNCEMENT

It is with great regret that we have to inform you that the Liphook Carnival 2020 and all events will be cancelled.

This is as a result of the current pandemic and as a mark of respect to all those families who have lost loved ones.

In these unprecedented times we must proceed with caution in order to protect the friends and families that the Liphook Carnival was made for.

The Liphook Carnival will be back better than ever next year.

2019

Fun Day – Saturday 15th June 2019

Join us for the Carnival Fun Day on Saturday 15th June held at Liphook Church Centre, Portsmouth Road, GU30 7JD.

We have lots of fun and games planned including face painting, ball games, with lots of prizes to be won!

Come and enjoy a fantastic BBQ and some lovely ice creams and be entertained with some live music. A licensed bar will be available for refreshments. Check out the local produce and craft stalls exhibiting and have the chance to explore a fire engine!

The Children’s Fancy Dress, normally held on Carnival day, will now be held at our Fun Day. Fancy Dress Categories: Age 2 & Under, Age 3-5, Age 6 & Over, Groups of 2 or More Children (Any Age), Best Overall, and Committee Choice. All applicants must arrive at the Church Centre at 12 noon, with judging at 12.45pm.

The selection of the Carnival Prince or Princess will also take place at the Fun Day. Boys and girls in Year 5 and 6 from all local schools can apply. Interviews with applicants will be taking place throughout the Fun Day.

Quiz Night – Saturday 31st August 2019

Our annual Quiz Night is back on Saturday 31st August.

Kicking off at 7pm, you can enjoy a fun filled evening of entertainment and good company!

Take part in the quiz carried out by Rob Miller, which consists of questions for all.

Enjoy a two course meal and drinks from a licensed bar.

Purchase some raffle tickets for the chance to win some excellent raffle prizes donated from local shops and businesses. Fabulous and exclusive prizes can be won through our silent auction.

Fundraising Walk – Sunday 22nd September 2019

The Liphook Carnival Fundraising Walk is an annual event run by the Committee.

This year, the Fundraising Walk is on Sunday 22nd September 2019. Three routes are available around Liphook and the surrounding areas.

Different routes are planned each year with a short, medium and long route available. This year is 3, 6, and 12 miles. Refreshments are provided at various checkpoints along the way.

Collect sponsorship prior to the Walk or pay on the day! Everyone welcome and dogs walk free!

Join us at The Deer’s Hut at 9am for a 9.45am start and explore the local areas.
